01 — Features
Everything you need to sell with Paddle for WooCommerce
Paddle for WooCommerce Lite takes one-time payments at no cost. Pro adds WooCommerce Subscriptions, refunds from WordPress, inline checkout and Paddle invoices.
Paddle Billing and Classic
Connect any Paddle account, new or old. Sandbox and live keys, a Test connection button and one-click webhook setup for Paddle Billing.
Works with every checkout
The Checkout block, the classic checkout and the “Pay for order” page. Paddle opens in a secure popup, so buyers never leave your store.
Safe by design
Every webhook is signature-verified. Duplicate deliveries, underpaid or wrong-currency payments and other stores on the same Paddle account are handled for you.
Pro
WooCommerce Subscriptions
Free trials, sign-up fees and renewals billed by Paddle. Every renewal becomes a WooCommerce renewal order, and failed payments, pauses and cancellations stay in sync.
Pro
Refunds from WooCommerce
Click “Refund via Paddle” on the order screen, for the whole order or a single product. Refunds made in Paddle are still recorded automatically.
Pro
Inline checkout and invoices
Embed Paddle’s payment form right in your checkout page, and give customers their Paddle invoice on the order page and in their emails.
02 — How it works
Up and running in four steps
- Install and activate Install the free Lite version (or upload Pro), then open WooCommerce → Settings → Payments → Paddle.
- Add your Paddle keys Choose Paddle Billing or Classic and paste your API key and client-side token, or your Vendor ID, Auth Code and public key.
- Set up the webhook One click creates the webhook in Paddle Billing and saves its secret. On Classic, paste the webhook URL into Paddle’s alerts.
- Test, then go live Make a sandbox purchase with Paddle’s test card, then untick Sandbox and add your live keys.
Settings: WooCommerce → Settings → Payments → Paddle. Setup checklist and support: WooCommerce → Paddle.

Which one do I need?
Lite is enough if…
- you sell one-time products such as software, e-books or digital downloads,
- you are happy to issue refunds in the Paddle dashboard.
Choose Pro if…
- you sell subscriptions with WooCommerce Subscriptions,
- you want refunds from WooCommerce, an embedded checkout and Paddle invoices for customers.
Not sure? Start with Lite. When you upgrade, your settings carry over.
04 — Pro
Subscriptions, refunds and invoices, all from WooCommerce
Pro turns Paddle into a complete billing system for your store, while Paddle stays the merchant of record.
Pro
Sell subscriptions with WooCommerce Subscriptions and Paddle
Paddle schedules and collects every renewal and handles tax worldwide. WooCommerce records each payment as a renewal order, so your reports, emails and customer accounts keep working.
- Trials and sign-up fees. Paddle charges the sign-up fee today and starts billing when the trial ends.
- Failed payments. The subscription goes on hold while Paddle retries, and comes back as soon as Paddle collects.
- Two-way sync. Cancel, suspend or reactivate in WooCommerce and Paddle follows; changes made in Paddle reach WooCommerce.

Requirements
A Paddle account (Billing or Classic) with your domain approved, and a store currency Paddle supports. Turn WooCommerce taxes off: Paddle collects them. Subscriptions in Pro need WooCommerce Subscriptions.
| Requirement | Details |
|---|---|
| WordPress | 6.0 or newer |
| PHP | 7.4 or newer |
| WooCommerce | 8.0 or newer (HPOS supported) |
Do I need to create products in Paddle?
No. Each order is sent to Paddle with its own lines and prices from WooCommerce, so coupons, fees, shipping and variations just work.
Does Lite have any limits?
No. Lite has no limits on orders, revenue or products. Pro adds subscriptions, refunds from WooCommerce, inline checkout and invoices.
If I upgrade from Lite to Pro, do I keep my settings?
Yes. Pro uses the same settings, orders and webhook as Lite. Activating Pro deactivates Lite, keeps your checkout as it was and adds the subscription events to your Paddle webhook.
How do I get support?
Lite users can ask on the WordPress.org support forum. Pro customers get priority support from the WPInterface team through our support desk.
